1. We Review Your Requested Dates
We’ll look at the check-in and check-out dates you provided and determine whether we may have appropriate accommodations available.
2. We Review Your Cat’s Information
We’ll also look at the details you provided about your cat, including age, medications, health needs, personality, and other important information.
3. We Follow Up
A Kitty Cottage team member can contact you regarding availability and next steps.
We may ask additional questions if your cat has special medical, dietary, behavioral, or accommodation needs.
4. You Complete Pre-Stay Requirements
Before arrival, make sure your cat meets our Health & Safety Requirements.

5. Arrive for Your Scheduled Appointment
Check-in is by appointment.
At arrival, we can review the information, food, medications, documents, and belongings needed for your cat’s stay.

Visiting Our Franklin Cat Boarding Facility
Kitty Cottage is located at 140 Wachusett Street in Franklin, Massachusetts 02038, a short drive from Interstate 495 and Route 140. Because check-in and check-out are scheduled by appointment, please call before you come by so a caregiver can give your cat an unhurried, quiet welcome.
Our hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, Saturday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday 11:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Appointments within these hours help us keep the cottage calm for the cats already staying with us.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I request a stay?
Complete the Request a Stay form on our Contact page . Tell us your preferred check-in and check-out dates along with some basic information about your cat. A member of the Kitty Cottage team can then follow up regarding availability and any additional information we need before your cat arrives.
Is check-in by appointment?
Yes. Check-in and check-out are scheduled by appointment. Appointment-based arrivals allow our caregivers to give each family appropriate attention while maintaining a calmer environment for the feline guests already boarding.
Can two cats stay together?
Compatible cats from the same household may be able to share accommodations. This can work well for cats who are closely bonded and accustomed to spending time together.
What if my cats need separate condos?
Separate accommodations are available. Some cats may live together happily but still benefit from having their own personal space while boarding. Adjoining condos may also be available depending on occupancy. Visit our Rates for current multi-cat boarding prices.
Can you board three cats from the same household?
Yes. Kitty Cottage offers boarding options for households with multiple cats. Contact us if you have three or more cats so we can discuss the best accommodation arrangement and availability.
Is there a minimum stay?
